Blockpacker is a falling-block puzzle game about music, places and the small things that make a world worth exploring. Travel through colourful scenes, meet larger-than-life characters and bring home a collection of postcards.

Journey

Explore 24 destinations across eight chapters, with eight larger-than-life boss encounters along the way. Each destination has its own songs, scenery and character. Clear enough lines to move on, or stay until the song ends to earn its medal. Complete all three medals to collect that destination's postcard.

There is no score to chase in Journey — take it one song at a time.

Arcade

Keep the blocks moving in endless survival. Chase local high scores, take risks near the top of the board and turn on Overdrive and power-ups for cascades, explosions and bigger rewards. Choose your starting level and whether you want a ghost piece before each run.

Drift

Settle into a different rhythm. Play among moving fields of light, musical landscapes and figures made of particles. Choose Normal or Hard pace, find your flow and keep diving for longer.

Controls

• Left / Right: move the piece
• Down: soft drop
• Up / X: rotate clockwise
• Z: rotate counterclockwise
• Space: hard drop
• C: hold
• Esc / Backspace: pause, go back or close the current panel
• Enter: confirm; in Journey, ask to move on after reaching the line target
• M: mute / unmute
• F11: toggle fullscreen

Use Options > Keys for mode-specific controls. Play with keyboard and mouse. Controller support is not included in this version.

System requirements

• OS: Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit
• Display: 1920 × 1080, landscape
• Input: keyboard and mouse
• Storage: 3 GB of free space for the extracted game. Allow additional space if you keep the downloaded ZIP too.
• Internet: needed to download and update, but not to play

Tested configuration: Intel Core Ultra 5 225U laptop with 16 GB RAM, configured for battery life. The game runs well on this setup in the developer's testing.

Estimated lower-end requirements: Intel Core i3-8100 or comparable processor, 8 GB RAM, and Intel UHD 620/630 or comparable graphics with hardware-accelerated WebGL 2 and current drivers. These are estimates, not a verified minimum configuration.

Recommended: Intel Core Ultra 5 225U or comparable processor, 16 GB RAM, modern Intel/AMD integrated graphics or better, and an SSD.

Effects settings can reduce GPU load in Journey and Arcade. Drift's animated visuals may be more demanding.

Installation

1. Download the Windows ZIP and extract all files into a folder.
2. Run Blockpacker.exe from the extracted folder, not from inside the ZIP.
3. Keep the executable and all accompanying files and folders together.

No installer or administrator access is required. If you use the itch app, install the game there and press Launch.

Your progress is saved separately from the game folder, so replacing the game files with a newer version keeps your progress.

Visual effects warning

Contains flashing lights, animated backgrounds and intense visual effects.

Journey and Arcade offer settings to reduce or disable effects. Drift is built around animated shader visuals and is not an effects-free mode.
